Diploma in Bricklaying Level 2

Learners will learn about the industry, including the principles of constructing buildings, and about information used in building design and construction. They will also learn about health, safety and environmental issues on construction sites, and how to communicate with others on the job as well as more complex practical skills specific to bricklaying, including building solid walls, interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures, and constructing cavity walls forming masonry structures.

This course is designed for those interested in a career as a bricklayer in the construction industry. It is designed to further develop your existing skills and knowledge of bricklaying.

Eligibility

16+ and have lived in UK or EU for the last 3 years, depending on status.
Bursary offered to all eligible 16-19-year-olds.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview at one of our Academies.
