Our programme will support you in achieving your future goals.

Your Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme is as unique as you are. You will be offered a range of engagements and activities based around your individual needs; inspiring you to feel empowered when making informed decisions about your future pathway.

It is designed to achieve the following objectives:

Raise awareness

Introduce you to a wide range of careers, employment opportunities and education progression. We will ensure you understand the world of work and education, along with the skills required for success.

Develop employability skills

Guide the development of your essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability.

Addressing the needs of each learner

Provide you with any Special Education Needs and Disability support or financial support to overcome any barriers to learning where possible.

Raising learner aspirations

Providing impartial careers guidance, tailored to your individual needs. We will ensure you consider the widest possible range of careers and/or progression opportunities available to you.

Inform decision-making

Equip you with the information and resources needed for you to make well-informed career decisions, including educational pathways, training options, and labour market trends.

Promote equality and diversity

At LCG we ensure that you and your peers have equal access to CEIAG services and support, promoting diversity and challenging stereotypes.

The Careers programme aligns to the Gatsby Benchmarks, the requirements of the Education Inspection Framework, the Matrix Standard and other external stakeholders.

We deliver comprehensive initial guidance and induction to ensure the path you have chosen is the best for your future aspirations.

CareersPro

Access to our amazing AI (Artificial Intelligence) -powered careers planning platform, far more than a careers quiz, it identifies your top career qualities, empowering you to choose careers that align with your current learning.

Additional learning Support

Our dedicated and highly qualified staff are there to advise and support you if you are facing any personal or learning challenges. We aim to support you in completing your training and transitioning into your chosen career. Through additional learning support, special educational needs and education health and care plan learner support.

Expert impartial guidance

Our team of level 6 careers guidance professionals are on hand to offer impartial, individual, and high-level bespoke 1:1s at key transition and decision points within your journey.

Industry-related visits and real-world environments

We will provide first-hand experiences that can contribute to a deeper understanding of industry dynamics, foster networking opportunities, and inspire new ideas and strategies

We facilitate visits from knowledgeable industry experts that are invaluable in broadening your perspectives on the world of work and opportunities that your possible future options will present.

Experience of workplaces

We will ensure work experience impacts positively on equality and diversity, on your achievements and your progression to employment, apprenticeships and/or HE; and develop your work readiness skills further.

Employability skills

We offer a programme of workshops, programmes, training, and assessments around employability, fully preparing you for success in the workforce by enhancing your employability skills.

Importance of English and mathematics. We support you to ensure the integral role of these subjects helps you to build a strong foundation for your successful and fulfilling career.

Destination and career planning. We will support you in a variety of ways including the use of different initiatives and resources empowering you to make informed decisions about future pathways.

Further learning, further and higher education and apprenticeship information. Our programme will add value to your main course, we consistently promote lifelong learning and the impact it will have on your future career.

Part-time employment support. We understand the balance of work and life, we offer a flexible approach to learners who continue to work part-time. This includes possible flexible and mixed learning options, clear communication channels and accessible learning resources.
